The SALEWA Wildfire Edge GTX is a versatile technical shoe that can switch from a hiking shoe to a climbing shoe, so your adventure never has to slow down even in wet weather. Featuring a 1.6mm suede leather and microfiber upper with an Exa Shell over an injected 3D cage for excellent flexibility, this shoe offers a unique Salewa Switch system. Simply tighten the laces at the rear eyelet and then lace them up, pulling your foot forward into the toebox and compressing your toes similar to a climbing shoe. Once you've finished climbing, loosen the laces at the rear eyelet for a roomier toebox and greater hiking comfort.

Waterproof GORE-TEX lining allows for better breathability and keeps out the wet elements, while the 3F System provides firm ankle and heel support. The Climbing Lacing system and the Salewa Switchfit system work together to provide a more precise fit and a more accurate lacing in the toe area, giving more support and allowing for better performance. A breathable mesh lining adds to the comfort.

The customizable MFF+ footbed is the next generation of multifit footbed technology, allowing for even adjustability for the Wildfire footwear, so you always get a perfect fit. An Edging Plate right under the toes provides additional, directional stiffness, and an Anti-rock heel cup enhances stability.

The POMOCA Speed MTN outsole with Butilic Compound offers grip, traction, and sure-footed climbing precision on technical mountain approaches, scrambles, traverses, and climbs.
