The SALEWA Wildfire Edge GTX is a versatile technical shoe that can switch from a hiking shoe to a climbing shoe, so your adventure never has to slow down even in wet weather. Featuring 1.6mm suede leather and microfiber upper with Exa Shell over an injected 3D cage for excellent flexibility, the shoe also boasts the Salewa Switch system, which allows you to tighten the laces at the rear eyelet and then lace them up, pulling your foot forward into the toebox and compressing your toes similar to a climbing shoe. Once you've finished climbing, you can loosen the laces at the rear eyelet for a roomier toebox and greater hiking comfort.

Waterproof GORE-TEX lining allows for better breathability and keeps out the wet elements, while the 3F System provides firm ankle and heel support. The Climbing Lacing system and the Salewa Switchfit system work together to provide a more precise fit and a more accurate lacing in the toe area, giving more support and allowing for better performance. The breathable mesh lining and Customizable MFF+ footbed, the next generation of multifit footbed technology, ensure a perfect fit every time.

An Edging Plate right under the toes provides additional, directional stiffness, and the Anti-rock heel cup enhances stability. The POMOCA Speed MTN outsole with Butilic Compound delivers grip, traction, and sure-footed climbing precision on technical mountain approaches, scrambles, traverses, and climbs.

The SALEWA Wildfire Edge GTX is made in the USA or imported, with a sole material of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate and Rubber, and a Tobillo shaft height. The product should be machine washed for care.
